Ashley has 24 years of experience specialising in transactions. Ashley’s professional background stretches across both domestic and international clients, advising corporate, private equity, family businesses and high net worth clients. He specialises in mergers and acquisitions, financial due diligence, valuation, performance improvement and post-deal integration.
Ashley has worked with organisations from a range of industries, including energy, insurance, financial services, funds management, agribusiness, craft beer, professional services, manufacturing, retail and distribution, hotel gaming and leisure, construction, software, technology, fresh produce, medical consumables and transportation.
He was the lead advisor on the sale of Mountain Goat Beer to Asahi, the sale of a private business in the health sector to Teleflex Inc. and the acquisition of a private business in the berry sector by Driscoll’s Inc. Recently, he provided due diligence on acquisitions such as Energy Australia’s acquisition of Ecogen, JPMorgan Partners acquisition of WACO INT for approximately A$1.1bn, Newbridge Capital’s takeover bid for ALH for approximately $1.1bn, and TRUenergy’s acquisition and integration of Energy Australia (EV c. $2.0bn), Roaring 40s (wind farm) and Eastern Star Gas. He has also provided pre-sale due diligence to a Big 4 bank on the planned sale of an A$5bn+ wholesale mortgage business.
