Shaun was a founding partner of McGrathNicol and has over 30 years of restructuring and insolvency experience. He has an excellent track record of solving complex problems involving financial distress through a calm, considered analytical approach, delivering creative solutions and maximising outcomes for stakeholders.
Examples of recent roles include advising AGL after the collapse of major coal supplier Peabody Resources, advising Allegro on its acquisition of Toll Global Logistics from Japan Post and acting as the independent expert on the members and creditors schemes of Arrangements for Ovato Limited.
Shaun has experience across a range of industries including resources, engineering and construction, property, manufacturing, agribusiness, tourism and hotels, information and communications, and financial services.
Shaun has a strong interest in enhancing the lives of people living with a disability, supported by his role as a non-executive director of Special Olympics Australia where he serves as Chair of the Finance Audit and Risk Committee.
