Jamie is the Managing Partner of McGrathNicol, leading a national team of more than 450 partners and staff across Australia. As a founding partner of the firm, he has played a central role in driving McGrathNicol’s growth, strategy and development, while building one of Australia’s leading financial advisory and restructuring professional practices.

With more than 30 years of experience, Jamie specialises in large and complex financial advisory, turnaround and formal restructuring engagements. He works closely with boards, executives, lenders and other stakeholders to develop strategic solutions to operational and financial challenges, helping organisations navigate critical situations and achieve sustainable outcomes.

Recognised as a leading restructuring specialist, Jamie has extensive experience advising Australia’s major banks and leading financiers on loan portfolio reviews, impaired asset management and complex credit exposures. His deep technical expertise, commercial judgement and stakeholder management skills have made him a trusted adviser on some of the most challenging engagements in the market.

Beyond his client work, Jamie is passionate about fostering a diverse and inclusive culture at McGrathNicol. He actively champions the firm's community partnerships, philanthropic initiatives and Indigenous commitment programs, reinforcing the firm's focus on creating positive social impact.

Jamie is also committed to improving opportunities and outcomes for people with disability and advancing pathways to employment for all Australians. He serves as a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee of the IntoWork Group, a leading social enterprise that employs more than 2,600 people in Australia and New Zealand, delivering employment, skills, education and community participation services.
